Better Evidence UpToDate Donation Program

Check your eligibility and apply here.

In 2009, we began working with UpToDate®, the world’s leading evidence-based clinical resource, to grant free UpToDate subscriptions to practitioners working in limited-resource settings around the world. UpToDate allows users to easily search and access the latest information to make better care decisions for the patients and populations they treat, with research backing its positive impact on care.

In 2016, Ariadne Labs—a joint center for health systems innovation at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health rooted in rigorous scientific methodology and the industry’s best practices for implementation—began to support our research on the proram. Then-director Dr. Atul Gawande and the team saw the potential the program held to advance Ariadne's mission—to create scalable healthcare solutions that produce better care at the most critical moments in people’s lives, everywhere, every time. We integrated our work with Ariadne Labs and named the program Better Evidence. We have expanded our impact to offer additional tools and begin reaching providers earlier in their careers, through a program supporting the use of digital tools in medical schools in Africa.
