  1. I meet the program eligibility criteria. How do I apply for a new subscription?

  2. When can I expect to hear back about whether I’ve been approved for a new subscription?


    Applicants will receive a 30-day UpToDate trial within one week of completing their application. GHD is actively working with UpToDate to try to speed up the full year grant subscription process. Currently, applications are taking anywhere from one to six months to fully process.
     

  3. When can I expect my subscription to start?

    When you apply, you will get a 30-day trial within one week. Once you are fully approved, which may take up to several months, you will receive a confirmation email from UpToDate with login instructions that will allow you to activate the subscription.

     
  4. I am a current donation recipient. How far in advance of my subscription’s expiration date should I apply for a renewal?
     

    We recommend you apply for renewal about one to three months before your subscription ends. If you are not sure when your subscription expires, please contact utdgrant@globalhealthdelivery.org.

     

  5. How do I apply for a renewal subscription?
     

    To apply for renewal, please follow the instructions found here: globalhealthdelivery.org/uptodate/renew. We will ask you to review and update your information and share feedback on your experience with UpToDate over the last year. You will have the opportunity to elect to download offline features if you have not already.

     

  6. When can I expect to hear back about whether I’ve been approved for a renewal request?
     

    About 90% of renewal applicants are approved within one month.

     

  7. Is it possible to track my new or renewal application status?
     

    We don’t have an interactive tracking system. Please contact utdgrant@globalhealthdelivery.org with questions regarding application status.

     

  8. Who should I contact with general questions about the donation program?

  9. Who should I contact if I have technical difficulties accessing my subscription or downloading MobileComplete to my device?

    For technical assistance, please contact UpToDate Customer Service by emailing customerservice@uptodate.com or calling 781-392-2910. Please include your account number when contacting Customer Service. Your account number can be found in your confirmation email or by contacting utdgrant@globalhealthdelivery.org.

  11. I have two jobs--one serving vulnerable populations and one working in a private academic setting. Can I still apply?
     

    Yes, if you deliver medical care, medical education, or related services to vulnerable populations outside the US as part of your job and meet the other eligibility criteria, and neither you nor the (nonprofit or governmental) organization employing you can afford to subscribe to UpToDate, you may apply.

     

  12. How is my usage information tracked or used?
     

    All information provided to apply to the UpToDate-GHD Donation Program is confidential but may be subject to further inquiry and checks.

    UpToDate, Inc. and the Global Health Delivery Project at Harvard reserve the right to gather and use de-identified data for monitoring and evaluation of uptake and usage, and to contact Grantees at any point in time during the Grant period for feedback and monitoring purposes.

     

  13. How does the Global Health Delivery Project benefit from this program?
     

    Administering the UpToDate-GHD Donation Program helps us achieve our mission--to create a global network of professionals dedicated to improving the delivery of value-based health care. We are able to use our broad reach to help connect the UpToDate product with the people in the places where it can have a significant impact.

     

  14. Is there a limit to the number of times I can renew?
     

    No, we do not currently have a limit on renewals.

     

  15. Can I share my login?

    No, you cannot share your login. You must keep your account private and secure. You can share information you learn by sending topics from within the UpToDate platform to others or by printing materials.
