Dr. Vanessa Kerry is an Instructor in Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an Assistant Professor in Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is also the Director of the Global Public Policy and Social Change Program in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Her academic focus is on developing needed partnerships between medicine and public and foreign policy. Dr. Kerry’s chief project is the Global Health Service Partnership (GHSP) which sends the growing number of US health professionals interested in global health to serve as educators and faculty in resource-limited countries to build a pipeline of future in-country providers, strengthen healthcare and provide a new type of diplomacy. As the co-founder and CEO of Seed Global Health, Dr. Kerry helped establish public-private partnerships with the Peace Corps, PEPFAR and the countries where the GHSP program works to implement this model.
